The Drouin & District Business Group has launched a new website http://www.drouindistrictbg.com.au.
The site was developed as part of the ‘Grow Your Business Together’ Latrobe Valley initiative in association with the Victorian Small Business Commission and the Latrobe Valley Authority.
At a small business roundtable in the Latrobe Valley last year, Victorian Small Business Commissioner, Judy O’Connell identified the need for local small businesses to gain greater access to online resources and get better support from local business networks.
As part of the ‘Grow your Business, Together’ initiative small business networks in the Latrobe Valley region were given a $6,000 grant to update their websites.
The Drouin & District Business Group is the first of seven business networks to launch a new website as part of this initiative.
Ms O’Connell said a thriving small business network is extremely important to a community.
“Business networks provide support and advice when you are starting or want to expand. They provide a united voice for businesses in the area and are a great sounding board because many small businesses face similar issues.”
“I would encourage every small business in the Drouin area to head to Drouin & District Business Group’s new website and sign up to the network so they can grow their business together in Drouin.”
The Drouin & District Business Group provides local businesses with networking events, learning and development opportunities and business coaching.
Vice President of the Drouin & District Business Group, Craig Chugg, said the new website should help drive membership for the business group.
“Our new website looks fantastic. We are looking forward to increasing our members and promoting and assisting small businesses in Drouin and surrounds through it.”
The Drouin & District Business Group website was built by local Gippsland small business, Image Direct which provides design and web solutions.
