Victorian Small Business Commissioner to visit Shepparton
Victorian Small Business Commissioner Judy O’Connell will be in Shepparton on Wednesday 8 August to find out more about issues facing small businesses in the region.
The Commissioner will be the key speaker at the Networking with Shepparton Chamber of Commerce & Industry event as part of the Small Business Festival. The event for local small businesses will run from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday 8 August at Aussie Hotel.
According to Ms O’Connell, this event will be an opportunity for local businesses to network, learn about the Victorian Small Business Commission and ask questions.
“I’m looking forward to hearing the issues that are impacting small businesses in the greater Shepparton region,” Ms O’Connell said.
“It’s important to me to meet with small business people in regional areas as the issues they face are often very different to a city-based business.”
“I am eager to engage with the small business community, talk about the role of the VSBC and explain what I can do to help.”
The Commissioner will also meet with the Shepparton City Council and the Shepparton Rural Financial Counselling Service during her visit.
The Victorian Small Business Commission was established to create a level playing field for small business. Its functions include advocating on behalf of small business and a dispute resolution service for resolving business-to-business and business-to-government disputes.
Tickets for the networking event hosted by the Shepparton Chamber of Commerce & Industry can be booked via Eventbrite.
The VSBC can be contacted by calling 13 VSBC (13 8722) or by visiting www.vsbc.vic.gov.au
