The Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) is here to help small business owners and commercial landlords to avoid or resolve a broad range of disputes over retail and commercial leases.
As part of our Victorian Law Week 2022 event, the VSBC’s Senior Manager, Dispute Resolution Services Mark Schramm will explore:
- the laws covering retail and commercial leases in Victoria and the VSBC’s role under the legislation
- case studies showing the kinds of leasing disputes that come to the VSBC for resolution
- supports for small business tenants and their landlords in response to COVID-19 and practical tips for negotiating rent relief fairly
- ways the VSBC can help resolve disputes, including through helping early on and arranging for low-cost mediation.
