The Small Business Friendly Charter is a joint commitment to small business
Since 2019 the Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) and local councils have partnered to deliver and uphold a fair and competitive trading environment for small business by committing to the Small Business Friendly Charter.
The Small Business Friendly Charter outlines six shared commitments for the VSBC and signatory councils to deliver:
- Prompt payments to small business suppliers
- Streamlining approvals
- Supporting local business networks.
- Managing and minimising disruption to small business
- Sharing helpful information and guidance with small business
- Active engagement with the Victorian Small Business Commission
