Victorian Small Business Commissioner to visit Wangaratta
Victorian Small Business Commissioner Judy O’Connell will be in Wangaratta on Tuesday 7 August to meet with local business networks and council members, discuss the role of the commission, and to find out more about issues facing small businesses in the region.
The Commissioner will meet local small business owners and traders at the Wangaratta Chamber of Commerce Networking event on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:30 PM.
According to Ms O’Connell, this event will be an opportunity for local businesses to network, learn about the Victorian Small Business Commission, and ask questions.
“I’m looking forward to hearing the issues that are impacting small businesses in Wangaratta,” Ms O’Connell said.
“It’s important to me to meet with small business people in regional areas as the issues they face are often very different to a city-based business.”
“I am eager to engage with the small business community, talk about the role of the VSBC and explain what I can do to help.”
The Victorian Small Business Commission was established to create a level playing field for small business. Its functions include advocating on behalf of small business and a dispute resolution service for resolving business-to-business and business-to-government disputes.
